Nutrition Month 2019

Nutrition Month is celebrated annually in the month of July. The objective of this celebration is to disseminate nutrition related messages through the focal theme “Kumain nang wasto at maging aktibo…Push natin ‘to!”. Our school, the Lokeb Norte Elementary School celebrated the Nutrition Month last July 19, 2019. The celebration is highlighted with meaningful activities which are related to the theme. A short program was done wherein pupils presented their talents, showing how active and talented they are. It started with prayer led by Mrs. Irene A. Diolazo, followed by the singing of the National Anthem which was conducted by Mrs. Rejie P. Duazo.

An Inspirational Message was given by our beloved principal, Mrs. Rowena G. Fernandez. She tackled the importance of good nutrition and its effect to every individual. The program was highlighted by the talent showcase from the selected pupils in every grade level. Selected Kinder pupils presented a dance number. Grade I pupils presented a modelling show featuring different vegetables and fruits and a dance number as well, followed by the Grade II pupils with their Choral singing, while Grade III pupils also presented a Health Parade, telling the importance of eating nutritious food. Of course Intermediate pupils were also very excited to perform and show their talents. A Grade IV pupil had a “Short drama show”, Grade V pupils showed a dance number with a very lively “Nutri-Jingle” and the Grade VI pupils recited a “Sabayang Bigkas”. We also had contests like Slogan Making and Poster Making. Medals were awarded to the winners’ right after the contest. The program ended with a sweet smile on the faces of everyone. We really enjoyed the celebration and we were all happy because most of our pupils are active, witty, talented and healthy.
